At Beauty News NYC, beauty is a conversation, a distraction, an essential joy, a mirror, a lifestyle, and an evolution.In 2003, we became the first independent/non-corporate, digital beauty magazine in the United States to offer authentic coverage of the things we like or treasure, long before Vogue migrated online in 2010, and 17 years before the New York Times’ Wirecutter arrived. We have been cultivating an avid following ever since through our newsletter, website, and social media channels.We champion scrappy start-ups, entrepreneurial new products, clean beauty, fair trade, cult-favorite drugstore finds, high-end quality, the scientifically proven, the ingredient-conscious, and the unique. We innovated this space to laud them all.We are a group of multi-generational, multi-ethnic, multi-perspective writers based across the country (but predominantly in New York City and Los Angeles) who simply cover what we love and would recommend to friends and family. As a result, what we have to offer is genuine. Our bios are below.We know beauty is personal, multi-faceted, and in the eye of the writer who hopes to connect with you.
